Video editing workspace

Our Project Process

A clear brief.
A considered edit.

From the first conversation to the final video file, every project follows an agreed scope, a defined editing process and a clear digital delivery arrangement.

From Enquiry to Delivery

Five stages.
One agreed scope.

We confirm what is being edited, what is included and how the finished file will be supplied before work begins. This helps keep expectations clear throughout the project.

01

Discuss your requirements

Enquiry and quotation

Tell us the purpose of your video, preferred style, approximate final length, available footage and any specific requirements. We will review the information and confirm a suitable package or discuss a separately scoped project. Price, deliverables, estimated turnaround, amendment arrangements and output format are confirmed in writing.

02

Submit your footage

Files and instructions

Once the project scope is agreed, provide the video clips and any other authorised materials using the agreed transfer method. Include the editing instructions and identify any important sequences. We confirm when the required materials are available and whether anything essential is missing.

03

Editing and post-production

Assembly and refinement

We select and arrange clips, trim unwanted sections and refine pacing. Where included in the agreed package, we adjust existing audio levels and apply basic colour correction. The work remains within the confirmed brief and does not automatically include filming, animation or advanced effects.

04

Review and amendments

One included feedback round

We send a review version through the agreed digital method. You provide one consolidated list of amendments within 5 working days of receiving it. The included round covers reasonable changes within the original brief. A new direction, substantial extra work or additional versions may need a separate quote.

05

Final file delivery

Digital delivery

After the included amendments are completed, we export the agreed final video and provide it as a downloadable digital file or through another agreed file-transfer method. The standard package includes one final MP4 file in the agreed aspect ratio, unless the written quote states otherwise.

Estimated Turnaround

Know when to expect your edit.

The turnaround below applies to the standard packages listed on our Services page. The agreed start date and delivery estimate will be confirmed in writing before editing begins.

Essential Cut · up to 60 seconds3 working days
Standard Edit · up to 3 minutes4 working days
Extended Edit · up to 10 minutes6 working days
Long-form Edit · up to 20 minutes8 working days

When does the clock start? The delivery period starts on the next working day after the agreed scope and quote have been accepted and all required footage, instructions and necessary permissions have been received.

What may affect delivery? Missing files, incomplete instructions, delayed client feedback or a request to change the agreed scope may affect the schedule. If a change is needed, we will explain the revised delivery estimate and obtain agreement before proceeding with additional work.

Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in England and Wales. The stated turnaround is for the editing work and initial review version; the timing of final delivery also depends on the client returning feedback within the stated review period.

Before Uploading

Prepare your footage and permissions.

Please provide the footage and instructions needed for the agreed edit. You must own or have obtained the necessary permissions and licences for the video clips, photographs, music, audio recordings, logos and other materials you supply.

This includes considering any rights in third-party content and any permissions required for identifiable people appearing in the footage. Please do not send material that you are not authorised to use for the intended project.

Review & Final Delivery

Feedback within the agreed scope.

Each standard package includes one consolidated round of amendments. This is intended for reasonable adjustments to the edit against the original brief, such as trimming a section, changing the order of clips or adjusting existing audio levels.

A substantially different creative direction, new footage requiring additional editing, extra versions or work beyond the agreed scope is not automatically included. We will explain any additional fee and timing and seek your agreement before starting that work.

Final files are supplied digitally through an agreed download link or file-transfer method. Project files and editable editing timelines are not included unless specifically agreed.
