Frequently Asked Questions

Find out how our video editing service works, what each package includes, how to prepare your footage and what to expect from review through to final delivery.

Every project begins with a clear brief. The answers below explain our standard service arrangements. Where your project requires a different format, a larger volume of footage or work outside a standard package, we will discuss the requirements and confirm the scope before work begins.

01

About our video editing service

What does AVENTUR TEYLU LTD do?

We provide video editing using footage supplied by the client. Depending on the agreed package, this can include selecting and sequencing clips, trimming unwanted sections, improving the flow of a video, balancing audio levels, applying basic colour and brightness corrections, and preparing the final digital file.

The service is focused on editing and post-production. Filming, photography, event production and other specialist work are not included as standard.

Do you film videos or visit locations to capture footage?

No. Our standard service begins with footage supplied by the client. We do not include on-location filming, photography, venue arrangements or event production in the packages described on this website.

What types of video can you edit?

We can consider a range of client-supplied footage, subject to its technical suitability and the agreed brief. When enquiring, please describe the purpose of the video, the intended audience, the approximate final length and any required aspect ratio.

We will confirm whether the requested work fits a standard package before accepting the project. Complex animation, specialist effects or other work outside the standard editing scope may not be available.

Can you guarantee that my footage will look or sound a particular way?

No specific visual or audio outcome can be guaranteed before the source footage has been reviewed. The quality of the original recording, lighting, camera movement, compression and recorded sound can affect what editing can achieve.

We will discuss reasonable expectations where a source file has limitations. Basic correction is not the same as advanced restoration, and editing cannot always recover information that was never captured clearly.

02

Packages and prices

Which editing packages do you offer?

The standard packages currently described on our website are:

  • Essential Cut — £55: final video up to 60 seconds, source footage up to 15 minutes, estimated turnaround of 3 working days.
  • Standard Edit — £95: final video up to 3 minutes, source footage up to 30 minutes, estimated turnaround of 4 working days.
  • Extended Edit — £185: final video up to 10 minutes, source footage up to 60 minutes, estimated turnaround of 6 working days.
  • Long-form Edit — £295: final video up to 20 minutes, source footage up to 90 minutes, estimated turnaround of 8 working days.

Each standard package includes one consolidated round of reasonable amendments within the agreed brief and one final MP4 file. Please refer to the Services page for the full package descriptions and exclusions.

What if my footage or final video exceeds the package limits?

If your source footage exceeds the package limit, or the intended final video is longer than the selected package allows, tell us before confirming the project. We will assess the requirements and explain whether another package or a separately agreed scope may be suitable.

We will not treat extra work as automatically approved. Any revised price and delivery estimate must be discussed and agreed with you before the additional work begins.

What is included in the package price?

The standard scope includes trimming and sequencing, improving the flow of supplied clips, balancing audio levels, basic colour or brightness correction, one consolidated round of in-scope amendments, and one final MP4 file in the agreed aspect ratio.

Filming, voice-over, advanced animation, motion graphics, subtitles or transcription, music licensing, specialist audio restoration, additional versions and editable project files are not included unless specifically agreed in writing.

Can I request a custom project?

Yes, you can describe your requirements through our project enquiry process. We will review the intended result, source footage, approximate final length and any special requirements before deciding whether we can offer a suitable scope.

A custom request is not confirmed until the scope, price, estimated delivery time and any relevant exclusions have been agreed.

03

Footage and file preparation

How do I provide my footage?

After the project requirements have been discussed, we will confirm an appropriate method for receiving your source footage and project instructions. Please do not assume that submitting an enquiry alone means files have been received or that work has started.

For large files, we will agree a practical transfer method with you. Access instructions should be shared securely and only with the people who need them.

What should I send with my footage?

Please provide the files needed for the agreed edit and explain how you would like the finished video to look. Useful information includes:

  • The intended purpose and audience of the video.
  • Your preferred clip order or the important moments to include.
  • The approximate final length and aspect ratio.
  • Any supplied branding, title text or reference examples that you are authorised to use.
  • Any important sections to retain or avoid.

Clear instructions at the start help reduce misunderstandings and unnecessary changes later.

Which video file formats do you accept?

Compatibility depends on the specific file, codec, size and transfer method. Please tell us the file formats and approximate sizes before sending unusual or very large files. We will confirm whether the supplied material can be handled as part of the agreed project.

If a file is damaged, inaccessible or unsuitable for editing, we may need a replacement file or an alternative arrangement before the project can proceed.

Do I need permission to use the footage, music and images I send?

Yes. You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights, permissions and lawful authority to provide the footage and request the intended editing work. This includes relevant music, photographs, logos, third-party content and permissions relating to identifiable people where required.

Please do not send material that you are not authorised to use. Our editing service does not automatically include music licensing, rights clearance or legal review of supplied material.

04

Timing and final delivery

When does the delivery timeframe begin?

The estimated turnaround begins on the next working day after the project scope and quotation have been accepted and we have received the necessary footage, instructions and relevant permissions.

Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in England and Wales. If required materials are missing, files cannot be accessed or the brief needs clarification, the schedule may need to be adjusted. We will communicate any material change where practicable.

Are the quoted delivery times guaranteed?

The package timings are estimated turnaround periods for the initial review version, based on receiving complete and usable materials. The time required for final delivery may depend on when you provide consolidated feedback and whether any agreed follow-up work is needed.

If we become aware of a likely delay, we will explain the situation and discuss an updated estimate. Any specific delivery commitment confirmed for your project will be considered alongside the agreed terms and applicable law.

How will I receive the finished video?

The standard final deliverable is one MP4 file, supplied digitally through an agreed delivery method. The intended aspect ratio will be confirmed as part of the project scope.

Please download the file and keep your own backup after delivery. Additional formats, multiple aspect ratios or editable project files are not included as standard.

How long do you keep my footage and editing files?

Source footage and temporary working files are normally deleted within 90 days after final delivery, subject to unresolved issues, applicable legal requirements and any different arrangement agreed with you.

Please retain your own original footage and download the final video promptly. If you need a different file-retention arrangement, raise it before confirming the project so we can consider whether it is possible.

05

Review and amendments

Can I request changes after seeing the review version?

Yes. Each standard package includes one consolidated round of reasonable amendments that remain within the original agreed brief. Please collect your feedback into one clear response so we can assess the requested changes together.

We ask clients to submit their consolidated feedback within 5 working days of receiving the review version. If you need more time, please contact us to discuss the position.

What counts as an included amendment?

An included amendment is a reasonable adjustment to the existing edit that remains within the confirmed project scope, such as correcting an editing choice or adjusting a section in line with the original brief.

A substantially new direction, a replacement brief, additional footage, a longer final video, new versions or specialist work may fall outside the included amendment round. We will explain the distinction and provide a revised quotation where appropriate before proceeding with chargeable additional work.

What if I find a problem with the delivered file?

Please contact us with a description of the problem and, where possible, the relevant timestamp or an example. If the issue is a confirmed technical defect or a failure to provide the agreed deliverable, we will review it and discuss an appropriate resolution.

This is separate from a request to change an already approved creative direction. Your statutory rights are not limited by the standard amendment allowance.

06

Enquiries, quotations and payment

Does submitting an enquiry confirm a booking?

No. An enquiry allows us to understand your project requirements. It does not by itself confirm acceptance, reserve a delivery slot or mean that editing has started.

We will discuss the scope, applicable price, estimated turnaround, delivery format and relevant terms. The project is confirmed only when the required arrangements have been agreed.

Can the final price change after I enquire?

The applicable price should be confirmed before work begins. If you later request work outside the agreed scope, we will explain the additional requirements and any revised price or timing, and obtain your agreement before proceeding with that additional work.

We will not treat an unapproved extra as automatically accepted merely because it has been discussed.

How do I pay for the service?

Our website is an enquiry-based service website and does not itself provide a checkout or online payment flow. If we agree to undertake a project, we will confirm the applicable price and payment arrangements directly before the service is confirmed.

Please rely on the specific arrangements communicated for your project rather than assuming that a payment method or payment deadline applies when it has not been agreed.

07

Rights, privacy and project information

Will you publish my video or use it as a portfolio example?

We do not treat the supply of footage for editing as permission to publish it publicly. If we wish to use a completed project as a portfolio example or for promotional purposes, we will seek appropriate permission separately.

How do you handle my personal information?

We use enquiry and project information to respond to requests, agree and deliver services, communicate with clients, maintain appropriate records and meet relevant legal obligations. Access to project materials should be limited to what is reasonably necessary for the work.

For details about the information we collect, retention periods, cookies and your data rights, please read our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Can I ask you to delete my project files?

You can contact us to discuss deletion of project materials. Source footage and temporary working files are normally deleted within 90 days after final delivery. Requests may be subject to any applicable legal obligations, unresolved disputes or other legitimate reasons for retaining relevant records.

For personal data requests, please refer to the process described in our Privacy Policy.

08

Cancellation, refunds and help

Can I cancel a project after confirming it?

Cancellation depends on the applicable contract, the stage of the work and any statutory rights that apply. Where consumer distance-contract cancellation rights apply, a statutory cancellation period may be available. Exceptions and rules about work started during that period depend on the circumstances and legal requirements.

Please contact us as soon as possible if you want to cancel. See our Cancellation & Refund Policy for further information.

Are refunds available once editing has started?

A refund request will be assessed in light of the contract, work completed, the reason for the request and applicable law. We do not apply a blanket rule that refunds are never available after work starts.

Where statutory cancellation rights apply, the conditions relating to a request to begin work early and any amount payable for work already supplied will be considered. Please read the Cancellation & Refund Policy for details.

What should I do if I am unhappy with the service?

Please contact us and describe the issue, referring to the agreed brief or relevant part of the delivered file where possible. We will review the information and explain the next steps.

Our Complaints Policy explains how complaints are submitted, reviewed and escalated if you remain dissatisfied.

Need an answer specific to your footage?
If your question is not covered here, contact us before sending files or confirming a project. We can discuss the requirements and clarify what is included in the proposed scope.
