Service Scope Policy

A practical guide to what our video editing services include, what requires a separate agreement and how project expectations are confirmed before editing begins.

A clear brief makes a better edit

AVENTUR TEYLU LTD edits client-supplied footage according to an agreed brief. This policy explains the boundaries of our standard services, the responsibilities of each party and how requests outside the original scope are discussed.

01

Purpose and application

This policy applies to video editing services supplied by AVENTUR TEYLU LTD. It should be read alongside the relevant service description, quotation, project confirmation and our Terms & Conditions.

Our standard service is post-production editing of footage provided by the client. The work is based on the agreed brief and the limits of the selected package.

A project enquiry allows us to understand what you need. It does not guarantee acceptance of a project or automatically include every feature that might be associated with video production.

02

What our standard editing service includes

Subject to the selected package and confirmed project brief, our standard video editing service may include the following work:

  • Clip selection and sequencing: arranging supplied footage into a coherent order based on your instructions.
  • Trimming: removing unwanted sections and adjusting the timing of clips.
  • Flow and pacing: improving continuity and the overall progression of the video.
  • Audio level balancing: adjusting levels to support more consistent playback, within the limits of the source material.
  • Basic colour correction: reasonable adjustments to colour, brightness and contrast for a more consistent appearance.
  • One amendment round: one consolidated round of reasonable in-scope changes, where included in the selected package.
  • Digital export: one final MP4 video in the agreed aspect ratio and output settings.

The exact work performed depends on the quality and format of the supplied footage, the instructions received and the agreed package. We will explain any material limitation that becomes apparent before proceeding with work outside the confirmed scope.

03

Package limits and standard turnaround

The standard packages have the following working limits. The applicable price and exact scope should be confirmed before a project is accepted.

Package Maximum final length Maximum source footage Estimated turnaround
Essential Cut Up to 60 seconds Up to 15 minutes 3 working days
Standard Edit Up to 3 minutes Up to 30 minutes 4 working days
Extended Edit Up to 10 minutes Up to 60 minutes 6 working days
Long-form Edit Up to 20 minutes Up to 90 minutes 8 working days

Turnaround estimates apply to projects that meet the relevant package limits and are supplied with complete, usable footage and clear instructions. The estimate begins on the next working day after the scope is accepted and all required materials and permissions have been received.

Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in England and Wales. The estimates refer to the initial review version; final delivery depends on feedback and any agreed amendments. A different timetable must be confirmed in writing.

04

What is not included as standard

Unless expressly included in a written project agreement, the standard packages do not include:

Production and specialist services

  • Filming, photography or on-location recording.
  • Venue, event or studio production.
  • Voice-over recording or talent booking.
  • Advanced animation, motion graphics or complex visual effects.
  • Specialist noise removal or advanced dialogue restoration.
  • Professional music sourcing or music licensing.

Additional deliverables

  • Subtitles, captions or transcription unless agreed.
  • Multiple versions or platform-specific exports.
  • Editable project files, source timelines or working files.
  • Marketing strategy, campaign management or social media management.
  • Extensive reconstruction of missing or damaged footage.
  • Extra amendment rounds or a complete change of direction.

Some requests may be considered separately if they are feasible. We will confirm availability, any additional price and the revised timetable before accepting work that falls outside the standard scope.

05

Client materials and responsibilities

Clients are responsible for providing the footage, instructions and other materials needed for the agreed edit. To help the project proceed smoothly, please ensure that:

  • All supplied files are accessible, complete and reasonably usable.
  • The intended purpose, preferred sequence, target length and key requirements are communicated clearly.
  • Materials are within the selected package limits or an alternative scope has been agreed.
  • You hold the necessary rights and permissions to provide and use all supplied footage, images, audio, music, logos and other content.
  • Any required permissions relating to identifiable people or restricted content have been obtained.
  • Feedback and approvals are provided by the agreed times where possible.

We may ask for clarification or replacement materials where files are corrupted, inaccessible or unsuitable for the requested edit. Any resulting change to the timetable will be discussed with you.

We do not independently verify ownership or licensing for every item supplied by a client. You remain responsible for ensuring that your materials may lawfully be provided and used for the requested work.

06

Review and amendment boundaries

Each standard package includes one round of reasonable amendments within the agreed scope. After receiving the initial review version, please check it and send your feedback as one consolidated response within 5 working days.

Examples of in-scope amendments

  • Adjusting the timing of a clip within the existing sequence.
  • Making a reasonable trim to an included section.
  • Adjusting audio levels or basic colour settings in the agreed edit.
  • Correcting a clear mismatch between the delivered review version and the confirmed brief.

Requests that may fall outside the included round

  • Replacing substantial amounts of footage after editing has begun.
  • Changing the main concept or requested style after the brief has been approved.
  • Increasing the final video length beyond the package limit.
  • Requesting additional versions, new deliverables or specialist effects.
  • Submitting further rounds of changes after the included round has been completed.

If a request falls outside the included amendment round, we will explain the proposed additional work and any extra charge before proceeding. A correction needed because the work does not conform to the agreed scope will be considered separately from a new preference or change of brief.

07

Additional work and revised quotations

Additional work may be required where the source footage, requested final length, complexity or deliverables exceed the selected package limits.

If this occurs, we will explain the difference between the original scope and the requested change. Where appropriate, we will provide a revised quotation and delivery estimate.

No additional work will be treated as approved merely because it has been suggested or discussed. We will obtain your agreement to any additional price and revised arrangements before proceeding.

If you do not wish to proceed with the proposed extra work, we will discuss whether the project can be completed within the original scope. If that is not practical, the next steps will be considered under the agreed contract and applicable law.

08

Confirming the project scope

Before editing starts, the project scope should be clear enough for both parties to understand the expected output. The written confirmation may include:

  • The selected package or individually agreed service.
  • The supplied footage and intended final length.
  • The editing requirements and any specifically included features.
  • The output format, aspect ratio and delivery method.
  • The price and any separately agreed additional work.
  • The estimated turnaround and included amendment arrangement.

If an important requirement is not included in the confirmed scope, please raise it before accepting the project. We will explain whether it can be accommodated and whether it changes the price or delivery estimate.

09

Final delivery and file handling

The standard final deliverable is one MP4 video in the agreed aspect ratio and output settings, supplied digitally using the agreed delivery method. Editable project files, source timelines, additional formats and permanent file hosting are not included unless agreed in writing.

Clients should download and keep a copy of the final video after delivery. Working footage and temporary editing files are normally scheduled for deletion within 90 days after final delivery, subject to any agreed alternative, unresolved issue, technical limitation or legal requirement.

Further details about timing and digital delivery are available in our Service Delivery Policy. Cancellation and refund requests are handled under our Cancellation & Refund Policy.

10

Questions about the service scope

If you are unsure whether a requirement fits a standard package, contact us before submitting your final project materials. We can review the request and explain the scope that can be agreed.
