Cancellation & Refund Policy

Clear information about cancelling a video editing project, requesting a refund and understanding your rights before and after work begins.

Fair terms, clearly explained

We understand that project plans can change. This policy explains how cancellation requests and refund enquiries are handled by AVENTUR TEYLU LTD, while recognising applicable consumer rights and the arrangements agreed for each video editing service.

01

Scope and application

This policy applies to video editing services provided by AVENTUR TEYLU LTD through project enquiries and separately agreed service arrangements.

Our services generally involve editing footage supplied by the client, arranging and trimming clips, adjusting audio levels, applying basic colour correction and providing the agreed final digital video.

The service scope, price, estimated turnaround, deliverables and included amendment arrangements are confirmed before work begins. The specific agreement for your project should be read alongside this policy and our Terms & Conditions.

Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or restrict any consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

02

Before work begins

Submitting an enquiry does not by itself confirm a booking. A project proceeds once the scope and applicable terms have been agreed and the arrangements have been accepted by both parties.

If you decide not to proceed before a service agreement has been concluded and before work begins, contact us as soon as possible. We will confirm whether any booking has been accepted and whether any payment or other obligation exists under the arrangements made.

We do not charge for additional work that has not been agreed. If any payment has already been made, its treatment will depend on the terms agreed, the work actually authorised and any applicable legal rights.

03

Statutory cancellation rights

Where a service contract is concluded at a distance, such as online, or away from business premises, eligible consumers will generally have a statutory cancellation period of 14 days under the applicable UK consumer rules. The precise application depends on the contract and the circumstances.

For a service contract, the 14-day period will generally run from the day the contract is entered into. Different rules may apply to other contract types or circumstances.

If you wish to exercise a statutory cancellation right, you can notify us using the contact details in this policy. You do not have to use a particular form, but your message should clearly state that you wish to cancel the contract and identify the project.

Services not yet started

If you cancel within an applicable statutory cancellation period before the service has started, you will generally be entitled to a refund of payments made for that contract, subject to applicable law.

Services started during the cancellation period

If you expressly request that the service begins during the statutory cancellation period and then cancel within that period, you may be required to pay a proportionate amount for the service supplied up to the point of cancellation, where the law permits. This depends on the required information and consent having been provided and obtained correctly.

A right to cancel a service contract may be lost once the service has been fully performed within the cancellation period only where the applicable legal conditions have been satisfied, including the required express consent and acknowledgement. We will not assume that this exception applies merely because editing work has started or a file has been sent.

Statutory cancellation rights depend on the type of customer, contract and service arrangement. This policy does not replace the information and consent steps that must be provided when required by law.

04

Requests to begin work early

If your contract is subject to a statutory cancellation period and you want us to begin editing before that period ends, we will ask for your express request before starting the service.

Where required, we will also explain how an early start may affect the amount payable if you subsequently cancel and what happens if the service is fully performed during the cancellation period.

An early-start request should be recorded clearly, separately from a general enquiry or acceptance of a quotation. We will not treat silence or a failure to respond as express consent.

If the required request or acknowledgement has not been obtained, we will handle any cancellation in accordance with the applicable legal requirements rather than assuming that a statutory right has been waived.

05

Cancellation after work has started

If you ask to cancel after editing work has begun, we will review the contract, the work completed, any payments made and the circumstances of the request.

Where no statutory cancellation right applies, or where the statutory cancellation period has ended, the financial outcome will depend on the agreed contract terms and applicable law. We may take account of work completed and any properly agreed costs that are recoverable under those terms.

We will not automatically treat the entire contract price as non-refundable in every case. Any amount retained or refunded must be consistent with the contract and applicable legal rights.

If cancellation arises because we cannot provide the agreed service, or because the service does not conform to the contract, we will consider the appropriate remedy under the agreement and applicable law. This may include correcting the work, agreeing another appropriate solution or providing a refund where required.

06

Refund assessment

Refund requests are considered individually. Depending on the circumstances, we may review:

  • Whether a contract was concluded and which terms were accepted.
  • Whether a statutory cancellation period or another legal remedy applies.
  • Whether work had started and what service had actually been supplied.
  • Whether an express early-start request or other required acknowledgement was obtained.
  • Whether the service supplied matched the agreed scope and description.
  • Whether a delivery problem or other issue remains unresolved.

If a refund is due, the amount will be determined under the applicable legal rules and the relevant contract terms. Where a partial refund is appropriate, we will explain the basis for the calculation.

A request for an additional feature or a change of preference after work has been completed does not automatically create a right to a refund. However, this does not affect any statutory rights that may apply if the service is not as agreed.

07

Changes to a project and extra work

If you want to change the brief, provide replacement footage, request additional versions or extend the agreed video length, contact us before the additional work proceeds.

We will explain whether the change is within the original scope or requires a revised quotation and delivery estimate. Any additional fee must be explained and agreed before the extra work is undertaken.

If we cannot agree on a proposed change, the original project arrangement remains the reference point, subject to the contract and any applicable legal rights. A proposed change does not by itself cancel the original agreement.

08

How to request a cancellation or refund

Please email us with your request. To help us identify the project and respond efficiently, include:

  • Your name and the email address used for the project enquiry.
  • The package or service agreed, if known.
  • The date the agreement was accepted, if known.
  • Whether editing has started or a review/final file has been supplied.
  • A clear statement that you are requesting cancellation, a refund or both.
  • Any relevant explanation or supporting information.

We will acknowledge your message and review the circumstances. If further information is needed, we may contact you to clarify the request. We will explain our decision and the basis for any refund or amount retained.

If you are exercising a statutory cancellation right, you should send your notice within the applicable statutory period. Do not wait for a response from us if doing so could cause that period to expire.

09

Refund processing

Where a refund is due under the applicable statutory rules, we will process it within the time limit required by law. For qualifying distance or off-premises contracts, the applicable consumer rules generally require refunds to be made without undue delay and no later than 14 days after the relevant legal trigger, subject to the specific circumstances and permitted exceptions.

Unless the law or the original payment method requires otherwise, refunds will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction. We will not impose a refund administration fee where prohibited by law.

The time it takes for the funds to appear in your account may depend on your bank or payment provider. That processing time is separate from the time we take to issue the refund.

If no payment has been made, there is no payment to return. Any other contractual obligations will be assessed separately under the agreed arrangements and applicable law.
