Service Delivery Policy
From the first project brief to the final edited file, we explain how video editing work is agreed, prepared, reviewed and delivered.
AVENTUR TEYLU LTD provides video editing services using footage and instructions supplied by the client. This policy explains the delivery process, expected turnaround times, file delivery, review arrangements and the responsibilities that help a project move forward smoothly.
Scope of service
Our video editing service focuses on turning client-supplied footage and instructions into an edited digital video. Depending on the package agreed, the work may include:
- Selecting and arranging supplied clips into a coherent sequence.
- Trimming unwanted sections and improving the flow of the video.
- Adjusting audio levels for more consistent playback.
- Basic colour, brightness and contrast correction.
- One round of reasonable amendments within the agreed project scope, where included in the selected package.
- Delivery of the agreed final video file in the specified format.
Filming, photography, advanced animation, voice-over, music licensing, specialist audio restoration, extensive visual effects and editable project files are not included unless expressly agreed in writing.
The precise deliverables are determined by the package selected and the written scope confirmed before work begins.
Before work begins
Submitting a project enquiry allows us to understand your requirements. It does not, by itself, confirm that a booking has been accepted or that editing work has started.
Before work begins, we will confirm the relevant project details, including:
- The selected service package or individually agreed scope.
- The supplied footage and the intended final video length.
- The agreed price and any applicable additional charges.
- The estimated turnaround time.
- The output format and delivery method.
- The included amendment arrangements and any relevant limitations.
Work starts once the project arrangements have been accepted and the required footage, instructions and relevant permissions have been received in a usable form. If any essential information is missing, we will explain what is needed before proceeding.
Delivery timeframes
The standard turnaround estimates for the packages listed on our Services page are set out below. These periods refer to preparation of the initial edited version for client review, unless the written project confirmation expressly states otherwise.
| Package | Estimated turnaround | Initial project limits |
|---|---|---|
| Essential Cut | 3 working days | Final video up to 60 seconds; source footage up to 15 minutes. |
| Standard Edit | 4 working days | Final video up to 3 minutes; source footage up to 30 minutes. |
| Extended Edit | 6 working days | Final video up to 10 minutes; source footage up to 60 minutes. |
| Long-form Edit | 8 working days | Final video up to 20 minutes; source footage up to 90 minutes. |
These are the standard estimates for projects that fit the stated package limits and arrive with complete, usable materials and clear instructions. A project with different requirements may need a separate written estimate before it is accepted.
The turnaround period begins on the next working day after the agreed scope has been accepted and all required footage, instructions and permissions have been received. The day of receipt is not counted as the first working day.
Working days are Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays in England and Wales. If a different timetable is agreed for a specific project, the confirmed timetable will apply.
Please note: the estimated turnaround is for the initial review version. The date for final delivery also depends on the timing of client feedback and whether any agreed amendments are required.
Client materials and preparation
Clients are responsible for supplying the footage, instructions and other materials needed for the agreed work. Materials should be transferred using the method agreed with us and should be complete, accessible and suitable for editing.
Before sending materials, please check that:
- Files can be opened and played, and are not corrupted or incomplete.
- The intended sequence, preferred sections, style and key requirements are explained clearly.
- The supplied material is within the agreed source-footage limits.
- You have the necessary rights and permissions to provide and use the footage, images, audio, music, logos and other supplied content.
- Any relevant permissions for identifiable people or restricted material have been obtained where required.
We may ask for replacement files or further instructions if materials are inaccessible, damaged, incomplete or unclear. Work may be paused while the necessary information is obtained.
Editing, review and amendments
Once the required materials have been received and the project is ready to proceed, we edit the footage according to the agreed brief and package scope.
Initial review version
We provide an initial edited version for review using the agreed delivery or review method. You should check the sequence, timing, audio levels, basic colour adjustments and compliance with the confirmed instructions.
Included amendment round
Each listed package includes one round of reasonable amendments within the agreed scope. To help avoid misunderstandings, please submit feedback together in one consolidated response within 5 working days of receiving the review version.
The included round covers adjustments to the agreed edit. It does not automatically include a new creative direction, replacement of substantial amounts of footage, a significant change to the brief, extra output versions or work beyond the package limits.
If feedback arrives after the stated review period, we will confirm whether the project can still be resumed within the original arrangements and whether the delivery estimate needs to change. No additional fee will be applied without explaining the proposed work and obtaining your agreement.
Final file delivery
The final edited video is delivered digitally using the agreed delivery method. This may be an email attachment where practical or a download link where file size or technical requirements make that more suitable.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the standard final deliverable is one MP4 video in the agreed aspect ratio and output settings. The precise resolution and other export settings should be confirmed as part of the project scope where they materially affect the result.
Physical media, printed materials, editable project files, source project timelines, additional formats and multiple platform-specific versions are not included unless separately agreed.
You should download and check the delivered file within a reasonable period after receiving the delivery message. If a link does not work or the file appears damaged, contact us promptly so that we can investigate and, where appropriate, provide a usable copy.
Delivery of the file does not remove any rights you may have under applicable consumer law or any agreed obligation to correct work that does not conform to the confirmed scope.
Delays and changes to a project
The estimated delivery time may need to be reviewed if circumstances affect the work, including:
- Footage or instructions arrive late or need to be replaced.
- Required permissions or essential project information are outstanding.
- The client changes the brief or requests work beyond the original scope.
- Feedback is delayed or further clarification is needed.
- A technical issue affects access to files or the delivery method.
If a material delay becomes apparent, we will explain the reason and provide an updated estimate where reasonably possible. We will not describe a revised estimate as a guaranteed date unless it has been expressly agreed as such.
Any significant change to the scope, price or delivery arrangements will be discussed with you before the additional work proceeds.
Additional work and charges
Work outside the confirmed package may include additional editing time, substantial changes to the original brief, extra versions, longer source footage, a longer final video or specialist services not included in the original agreement.
If a request falls outside the agreed scope, we will explain what additional work is proposed and confirm any extra price and revised timetable before proceeding. You can decide whether to accept the proposed change.
We will not treat optional additional work as automatically approved simply because it has been discussed. Where no revised arrangement is agreed, the existing confirmed scope will remain the basis of the project, subject to any applicable legal rights.
Access, storage and project files
Final files are supplied through the agreed digital delivery method. You are responsible for downloading and keeping a suitable copy of the final file once it has been delivered.
Working footage, temporary exports and editing files may need to be retained for a limited period to complete the project, handle agreed amendments or resolve delivery issues. Unless a different arrangement is confirmed in writing, working copies are normally scheduled for deletion within 90 days after final delivery, subject to technical limitations, any unresolved issue, legal obligations or another agreed retention arrangement.
This standard retention period does not mean that we provide permanent cloud storage, ongoing backup or future access to downloadable files. Please retain your own copy of the original footage and final deliverable.
We do not include editable project files or source timelines as a standard deliverable. If you need these, please raise the request before the project is confirmed so we can determine whether it is feasible and agree any applicable terms.
